Camden residents gather for ‘Halloween on the Square’

CAMDEN, Tenn. — Halloween is fast approaching and a town is gearing up with a night full of scares.

Residents gathered in downtown Camden Monday evening for “Halloween on the Square.” The Camden Police Department was handing out candy alongside other Camden first responders and businesses in the community. There was good entertainment and games for the whole family.

Guests were also encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. One of the main attractions was the annual “Terror on the Square” haunted house.

“The first year, I was so terrified I didn’t want to get dressed. I didn’t want to do anything. I was about to become a cashier and I decided at the last minute to become a monster,” said Paislee Holland, actress of the character “Dolly” for Terror on the Square.

“I wasn’t that scared, you know, I mean, I was a little scared. Okay, I was very scared, it was a very scary, very scary experience,” said Nick Coats, character actor “Butcher” for Terror on the Square.

The cast says they can’t wait to terrify more guests next year.
