Tickets go on sale Monday for Lynyrd Skynyrd charity concert

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – Tickets are on sale now for a one-night benefit concert featuring Lynyrd Skynryd!

THE Rock’n’ support benefit concert, featuring Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Famer Lynyrd Skynyrd with special guest Marcus King, will take place at the Bradenton Area Convention Center on Friday, November 15th.

Hosted by the Center on Anna Maria Island and supported by the Manatee County Tourism Development Council, 100% of proceeds from Rock’n’ support This benefit concert will support Gulf hospitality workers who have been displaced due to the recent impacts of Hurricane Helene and Milton.

“When we got the call, we were happy to come on board,” said Johnny Van Zant, lead singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd. “The band is a Florida band and our manager also lives in Sarasota County. So we have family, friends and many fans affected by these storms. If we can raise money for those who need it and take people out for an evening of great music, then hopefully it will be a ‘win-win’ and bring some comfort to the community, so LET’S GO !

All proceeds from the event will benefit two local non-profit organizations, Damn good cause And The Anna Maria Island Hurricane Relief Fund Center. Displaced hospitality workers will then be able to apply for a grant from the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Special guest Marcus King will take the stage at 8 p.m. with headliner Lynyrd Skynyrd at 9:30 p.m.
