Man wanted in crash that killed three people may be hiding in Brampton, police say

A suspected impaired driver who police say is responsible for the deaths of three people may be hiding in Brampton, investigators say.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Jogpreet Singh, a 24-year-old Kingston man wanted for multiple offenses following a fatal crash in Seguin, approximately 23 kilometers south of Parry Sound.

The crash occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on July 20, when the Ontario Provincial Police said police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Tally Ho-Swords Road in Seguin.

Three people were killed in the crash, including Vivek Aggarwal, a 33-year-old who attended a Brampton school and had just arrived in Canada a few months before the crash, according to a fundraiser raising money for the victim’s family.

A GoFundMe account that raised over $7,000 Aggarwal’s family said he was a passenger in the vehicle and his death had left his friends “devastated”.

Singh was arrested and charged following the fatal crash and appeared in court on July 29, but police say the accused failed to appear in court. Police say Singh frequents Kingston and Brampton and investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Singh is described as a 24-year-old South Asian man, approximately 6’2″ tall and weighing approximately 158 pounds.

Ontario Provincial Police are urging the public not to approach Singh if he is spotted and to call police as soon as possible.

Anyone with information about this incident or Singh’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Ontario Provincial Police by calling 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can also be provided to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 or visiting www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca.

When you contact Crime Stoppers, you remain anonymous, you never have to testify, and you could receive a $2,000 reward.
