Moat Brae: Council seeks to ‘recover’ funds from Peter Pan House

Another secured creditor, Historic Environment Scotland (HES), said it was “saddened” by the developments.

It funded through grant schemes in 2012, 2013 and 2017 bricklaying, roofing, carpentry, plastering and heating works worth £500,000.

“We have not been approached by the trust board about their recent issues and would encourage early engagement with anyone facing similar issues,” he said.

“However, a key feature of this financing, like other backers of the house, in relation to its sale or liquidation, was the recovery of funds over the term of the contracts.

“We are working with the other funders of the project as well as the liquidator and very much hope that a positive solution to the situation can be found.”
