Ritual Tides announced for PC, with console versions to follow

Introducing Ritual Tides, the first game from Vertpaint Studios, a new developer made up of industry veterans who have worked at Rockstar, TT Games, and more. Ritual Tides is a horror game in which players find themselves stranded on an island beach with one goal: to discover the island’s terrifying secrets. Ritual Tides is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2025 on PC, with console versions to follow later.

“The team also promises to set the bar for visual quality for 2025, giving Ritual Tides players an immersive, almost photorealistic story to unfold,” according to the press release. Watch the first trailer above and check out early concept art in the gallery below.

Gameplay details remain a mystery for now, but the developers hint that “horribly designed enemies lurk, danger lurks around every corner, and it’s best to hide or run.” Ritual Tides features a “gun”, but not in a typical way, frankly. setting it apart from other games in this space.

Stay tuned for more on Ritual Tides as development progresses.
