Coroner identifies 77-year-old woman killed in Bardstown traffic crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The Jefferson County Coroner has released the name of the woman who was killed in a crash on Bardstown Road that left another person seriously injured. The accident occurred on Friday October 25 around 1:10 p.m.

Police said two men were accused of drag racing when one of the drivers crashed into a car while going over 100 mph. A man and a woman were inside the SUV that was struck. The woman who was in the car died at the scene from her injuries. She was identified as 77-year-old Myrtle Lorraine Wacker. The man inside the car was hospitalized with serious injuries.

A woman is dead and two men are hospitalized after a crash on Bardstown Road Friday afternoon.

The two drivers accused of drag racing have both been arrested and have appeared in court since the crash.
