“The Golden Bachelorette” Episode 7 Recap

Guy is gaga for Joan

“I feel hypnotized,” Guy told the camera. Her date with Joan, who wore a white bikini, involved going snorkeling together in the beautiful blue-green waters of Tahiti. Later, over dinner, she told him, “Today was one of the best days I can think of.” » Then she dropped a bombshell: “I’ve been thinking a lot about fantasy sequels,” she said. “We can talk and discuss intimate things, but when it comes to the physical part, I’m not going to do that with three different people. I’m not going to do it with anyone right now.

And I think we all know what “this” and “that” mean.

The statement was totally like the elegant Joan. And Guy, of course, was enthusiastic about whatever Joan wanted. They spent a seemingly chaste night together (but who knows?) in a small bungalow.

Chock had the chance to show Joan his horny side

For Chock’s date with Joan, the couple went to tour the island on ATVs, Chock at the wheel. “Go faster!” Joan screamed, and he floored her. Afterwards, they had a picnic and cuddled a little. “I felt safe,” Joan said. “He wants to have fun. Like, this could be our life. (It’s possible! Isn’t Chock’s hometown of Wichita, Kansas often called the Tahiti of the Midwest?)

Chock, meanwhile, continued his “fake it till you make it” strategy, speaking to Joan as if their engagement was a done deal. “I don’t mean to be arrogant,” he told her, “but I just felt like we were the right couple from day one.” Before closing the door to their fantasy suite, Chock raised his glass of champagne and boldly toasted “to our future.”

Pascal

But Pascal had difficulty

In a one-on-one with the show’s host, Jesse Palmer, Pascal finally explained why he’s so careful with his affections. (“My walls are up,” as he often said.) “I was almost engaged about a year ago,” he confessed, and it was a painful breakup. “I want to move forward, but I’m going through a difficult time.”

Then he got stuck with a date that looked like a lot less fun than snorkeling and partying on ATVs.

Pascal’s date with Joan was essentially a crash course in Tahitian culture. First, the two men were honored with a traditional Tahitian welcome ceremony, complete with music and island food. This was followed by a traditional Tahitian bonding ceremony, which looked suspiciously like a wedding ceremony. This consisted of pouring water on your hands and tying your wrists together, “to bind you to the earth and the sky.”

It wasn’t really Pascal’s jam. “The ceremony really freaked me out,” he said.
