Surreal sculptures on Bristol streets celebrate new central workspace

A trail of surreal street furniture sculptures has been installed to celebrate the opening of new workspaces in the city center.

The three new sculptures by Kent-based artist Alex Chinneck have been installed outside Bristol Assembly’s new workspaces, near Temple Meads station.

The knotted mailbox, twisted telephone box and pair of knotted lamp posts were cast in metal and the telephone box lights up at night.

Mr Chinneck said he loved the “creative spirit” of Bristol and liked the idea of introducing “moments of magic” to its streets.
