“I’m not a veteran so you have to respect the process and the decisions made. As I’ve learned in the past, you can’t do anything because it’s black and white as far as Racing Victoria is concerned.

“What I can say though is that we don’t have a healthier horse that has never had a lameness or been treated in his life. So that part is frustrating.”

Kheir is also involved in possessing a 10-1 chance Interpretationwho did not pass inspection on Thursday due to a change in appearance and will be re-examined on Friday.

Muramasa and Brayden Star join Jan Brueghel in missing out on Flemington showpiece after Aidan O’Brien’s St Leger winner was controversially excluded after failing a veterinary check.

The remaining international contenders for the big race will undergo their first pre-race examination on Friday, and a second pre-race inspection of declared runners will take place on Monday.
