One person was taken to hospital Friday morning following an accident on Stoney Trail.

Calgary police say they were called to a two-vehicle collision involving a sedan and a school bus on the highway near the westbound exit at Center Street/Harvest Hills Boulevard NE.

The school bus was empty and the driver was not injured, but the driver of the sedan, a Volkswagen Golf, was slightly injured.

“Roads are slippery this morning, so we are reminding people to slow down, leave extra space between vehicles and use caution on bridges and intersections,” police said in a statement.

Police also reminded Calgarians of the importance of being safe winter driving.
