My Hero Academia Season 7 Blu-Ray Will Bring Major Animation Changes

When it comes to the anime industrythere may be examples of animation that animation studios would like to get started on again. We have seen examples of this with big stories such as Berserk And Attack on Titanas production houses had the chance to revisit some of their work for home video releases. Now before My Hero Academia releases Blu-Ray for its seventh season, Studio BONES has released new footage that shows the differences between what anime viewers saw when the UA Academy final fight aired on the airwaves and what it looked like it will look similar for home video release.

The Blu-Ray has already been released in Japan for My Hero Academia seventh season in Japan, documenting the episodes that kicked off the final war featuring Class 1-A and the League of Villains. While there were many battles that populated this long-running fight for the future of the Hero Society, arguably the biggest was Deku versus Shigaraki. The final holders of One For All and All For One fought a battle so big that it could not be contained in season seven alone. Once the final season ended, Studio BONES quickly confirmed that season eight and final season would arrive in 2025, highlighting how the war between Midoriya and Shigaraki is bowing out.

My Hero Academia Changes

The seventh season was a feast for the eyes when it was initially releasedDeku and Shigaraki’s fight being no exception. However, it seems that animator Kohei Hirota put more elbow grease into the home video release and you can check out the differences between a key scene on Blu-Ray and the original version. At the time of writing this article, My Hero Academia The seventh season’s Blu-Ray release hasn’t been confirmed for a North American release, but given that the previous seasons have all been released physically, it would make sense for the final season to follow suit.

My Hero Academia: Season 8 and beyond

Based on the number of chapters that My Hero Academia the anime adaptation left to adapt, it is possible that the eighth and final season will be a little shorter than the seventh season. While a specific release date for the season eight premiere has yet to be shared, the fact that it’s arriving next year makes for a quick turnaround. If the anime follows the manga’s storyline, it will be one of the biggest anime events of 2025.

Creator Kohei Horikoshi has said in the past that he has no plans to continue My Hero Academia with a sequel and/or spin-off series. This doesn’t mean that UA Academy might not return to the world of anime in the future. There is one major story that has yet to be adapted from the manga world and it will definitely turn a few heads.

Studio bones

My Hero Academia: Vigilants has a long run for its manga, taking the opportunity to not focus on Class 1-A. Instead, the spinoff focused on a vigilante known as the Crawler who operated outside of official crime-fighting channels. Joining Crawler were other heroes such as Knuckleduster and Pop Step, rounding out the vigilante team. In addition to these side stories, Vigilantes also took readers back in time to document the early days of Eraserhead, Midnight, Present Mic when they were students at the UA Academy rather than teachers.
