Warrant issued against Nicholas Morin for stabbing

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man in connection with a stabbing that occurred in Wetaskiwin earlier this week.

Police were called to the home at midnight on October 28, where they performed CPR on the victim.

The officers determined they did not have time to wait for an ambulance. They transported the man to hospital, where he was immediately transported by STARS Air Ambulance to Edmonton.

He remains hospitalized in stable condition.

RCMP say the man’s attacker is Nicholas Morin, 28, of Maskwacis.

Morin was charged with aggravated assault, disobeying a court order and two counts of failing to comply with conditions of release.

He is described as having a medium complexion and a tattoo of a flower on his face, 5’9″ tall and weighing 243 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Police say Morin should not be approached.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Wetaskiwin RCMP at 780-312-7200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
