The RCMP SurreyBritish Columbia, are warning the public about a series of break-ins they say may be linked to crimes in other parts of Metro Vancouver.

The Surrey burglaries targeted the Panorama Ridge, South Surrey and Crescent Beach areas.

Police say the suspects work in three-person teams targeting unoccupied “large-scale” homes between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Thieves usually enter by smashing the glass of a patio door, before ransacking the house looking for high-value items like jewelry, watches, cash and handbags.
