Married at First Sight’s ‘hot couple’, Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James, responded to backlash over their Halloween costumes with a series of racy snaps.

The two were criticized this week for “doing drag” and dressing up as each other.

And on Friday, Evelyn, 28, shared a gallery of photos in which she posed in a sheer thong and lace bodysuit and knee-high stiletto boots.

She completed the risky look with what appears to be a cat-eye “sex mask” and a pair of long black gloves.

Model Cece Buss was also seen in the photos alongside Evelyn, as they both wore identical outfits.

The couple posed provocatively in several photos, using a black “spanking paddle” as a prop.

Evelyn’s caption said the outfits were from lingerie brand Honey Birdette.

Duncan, 39, joined the couple while wearing a costume paying homage to Ali G, the famous rapper character created by the English comedian. Sacha Baron Cohen.

Sporting a thick stubble, Duncan wore a bright yellow jumpsuit, matching glasses, a black knit hat and a ‘fanny bag’ – an outfit well recognized by Ali G fans.

Evelyn shared the snaps to her Instagram Stories as well as images of herself and Duncan dining at a swanky nightclub while wearing outrageous costumes.

It comes after celebrity stylist Jamie Azzopardi slammed Evelyn and Duncan for their “creepy” Halloween costume choice.

Evelyn and Duncan also dressed up for Halloween in 2023 and were widely praised by their fans and fellow cast members for their costume.

But the influencer couple’s work struck a sour note for Jamie, who is non-binary and uses their pronouns.

He said it was hurtful to see a heterosexual couple playing with gender performance and being praised for it – while the LGBTQ+ community is being persecuted for doing the same thing.

“It’s a shame that it’s being touted as ‘the scariest thing’ you can do in life is cross-dressing,” Jamie told Daily Mail Australia.

The Sydney-based stylist likened the couple’s costume to a white person dressing up as a person of color with a black face, or choosing to “wear” a culture as a costume for Halloween.

“I love Duncan and Evelyn and I know he has queer friends and family, so this decision was unlike them,” Jamie said.

“I don’t think any of them are homophobic. That’s not my point. But if you say, “That’s scary,” then you’re making fun of people like me. »

Evelyn and Duncan rose to fame on the 2023 season of Australia’s top-rated reality series and, although they were “TV Married” to different partners, they ended up together.

The stylist also shared private direct messages they sent to the couple, as well as their responses with Daily Mail.

Jamie previously dressed up as Joe Exotic for Halloween and said a bottle of P.Diddy baby oil was on their list of potential costume ideas for 2024.

When contacted by the Daily Mail, Evelyn claimed she saw nothing wrong or offensive about her and Duncan’s costume.

However, Duncan took a more diplomatic approach in his personal response to Jamie.

“While many Halloween outfits are scary or haunting, there are many that aren’t and this is one of them.

“I think we should always be considerate of all genders and all people who live on this planet.

Jamie, who is known for his extravagant outfit choices and celebrity feuds, said the response was appreciated but they were disappointed.

“In my community, we often feel a lot of hatred just because of this decision (to cross-dress or do drag),” the stylist explained.

“So for many of us (myself included) this can be a tough pill to swallow.”

Jamie faced intense backlash for arriving at Australian Fashion Week in an elaborate dress, which a handful of members of her entourage attended earlier this year.

The stylist added: “There is an element of cultural appropriation to all of this.”
