Here are all the songs from “Heretic”

Hugh Grantthe new scary cat and mouse horror movie Heretic is currently in theaters, but which songs are in the film? Read on for all the information.

The film comes from directors Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who created and co-wrote the 2018 film. A quiet placeand stars Grant as Mr. Reed, a mysterious and untrustworthy man who answers the door to two young Mormon missionaries who want to convert him to the Church.

The woman is played by Sophie Thatcher (The bogeyman, Yellow vests) and Chloe East (The Fabelmans, Real blood), and as they spent more time in Mr. Reed’s house, they began to realize that they were quickly becoming out of their depth.

In a four-star review of the film, NME wrote: “East and Thatcher are convincing as Mormons who have taken a wrong turn and Grant is a garrulous delight in a role that could so easily have been a bundle of demonic clichés.” Lovers of Bridget Jones’s Diary I always knew he was a corpse, but this is something else entirely. He’s never less than devilishly plausible and meticulous with every look, smile and furrowed brow.

As well as original music by Chris Bacon (Wednesday, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), the film also contains some extremely notable examples of needlepoint pop music.

When Hugh Grant’s character lures the two young women further into his labyrinthine home, he puts on a vinyl copy of the Hollies’ 1974 single “The Air That I Breathe.” As he attempts to develop his theological argument, he mentions that even if women don’t recognize the song, they would recognize Radiohead“Creep” by , a sample of which Grant then sings.

Radiohead was actually the subject of legal action by Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood, the original writers of “The Air That I Breathe”, for the very similar chord progression and melody of the two tracks. As a result, “Creep” now features Hammond and Hazlewood as well as all five members of Radiohead on its official songwriter roster.

Additionally, Grant goes on to mention that in 2017, Lana Del Rey claims Radiohead is taking legal action against her over her song “Get Free” and its own similarities to “Creep,” although it doesn’t appear the two sides have reached an agreement on royalties.

Grant spoke to NME during the promotion of the filmwhere he remembers singing “Creep”: “I don’t do it very well. I think it’s a very difficult song to sing. I did some research and they hate it. One of them sketched it out, they recorded it and they never really bothered to put down proper lyrics (that) they liked. Everyone was crazy about it and asked for it at every Radiohead concert. Very difficult to sing. I didn’t make that one.

“Creep” also makes an appearance later in the film, and the end credits roll over a languorous, pedal steel-heavy cover of Bob Dylan“Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door”, performed by one of the film’s stars, Sophie Thatcher.
