Businesses unite for CWMH cleanup campaign – FBC News

Various businesses and community organizations came together yesterday for a major clean-up campaign at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.

Participating organizations included BSP Life Group, Rotary Club Suva, Fiji National Provident Fund and Bank of Baroda, alongside other local businesses.

BSP Life Group member Iliesa Tawake says this is part of their corporate social responsibility.

“It’s simply a way of giving back and contributing to the well-being of the hospital and the broader contributions that come from us.” And I’m just thinking about taking advantage of our long weekend to try to give back in our own way to the health and well-being of the hospital.

The Ministry of Health has thanked businesses, community groups and members of the public who have donated their time to improve Fiji’s largest health facility.

The ministry stressed that the maintenance of health facilities is a collective responsibility.

They urge all citizens to develop a sense of civic pride by keeping public spaces clean and safe.
