The 21st Beijing Forum was held on Friday, bringing together more than 7,000 officials and scholars to discuss innovations in intelligent education and new engineering education and unveil a white paper on the development of intelligent digital education.

Gong Qihuang, president of Peking University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, stressed that universities, as key hubs for talent development, technological innovation and cultural exchanges, are now expected to respond to higher standards and assume greater responsibilities in solving common challenges.

Romano Prodi, former Italian Prime Minister and former President of the European Commission, stressed that persistent uncertainties in international relations require collaborative efforts to address global challenges. “Scientific cooperation between universities is essential to promote peace,” he said.

At the forum, the Digital Intelligence Education Development International Alliance (DI-IDEA), founded by 30 global universities in 2023, released a white paper on the development of digital intelligence education.

The white paper reviews the concept, talent landscape and education system of digital intelligence, brings together various cases from renowned universities around the world in this field, to propose specific action plans to further promote the development of digital intelligence education.

The four main action plans proposed in the white paper aim to strengthen educational leadership in digital intelligence, establish educational standards in digital intelligence, develop an educational framework in digital intelligence and share an educational platform in digital intelligence.

Currently, Camtree, a member of DI-IDEA, a new online education platform, has established the DI-IDEA Hub, an international academic cooperation platform for university teaching and faculty development, aimed at guiding educators to effectively harness emerging technologies such as generative AI to innovate in education. methods.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former Prime Minister of Pakistan, called for valuing artificial intelligence and establishing ethical principles to guide its progress. It envisioned cooperation between countries to share technology and knowledge to jointly shape a future where technology and humanity coexist harmoniously and prosper together.
