A former army reserve center and caretaker’s cottage will be auctioned off as potential residential properties.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) is to sell the former London Road military base in Camberley at auction on November 7 for a guide price of £850,000.

A Ministry of Defense spokesperson said the Army Reserve Centre, where reserve soldiers worked and trained, was “surplus to defense requirements” and part of the Army’s strategy. ministry aiming to reduce its fleet.

The center has been on the Department of Defense’s list of “scrapped” properties since at least 2018, according to a Freedom of Information request submitted that year.
