BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M volleyball team lost to Mississippi State on Sunday afternoon at Reed Arena, 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-18).

The Aggies (15-5, 6-4 SEC) lost an offensive shootout to the Bulldogs (10-8, 4-5 SEC), as both teams recorded 45 kills in the three-set match. A&M came out firing, as it built a four-point lead midway through the first frame, 15-11. Mississippi State responded with a streak of its own to lead (19-18). The team then traded points to find themselves tied at 21, but the Bulldogs broke the tie with a 4-0 run to win the first game (25-21).

A back-and-forth started the second set, and it was the Aggies who found a small advantage during the media timeout, 15-13. Mississippi State once again finds its rhythm at the end of the match and doubles its advantage in the match (25-18), 2-0.

The Bulldogs continued their momentum into the third quarter, when they led by four at the halfway point (15-11). Despite a fight from Maroon & White, the Bulldogs managed to maintain their advantage and close the set (25-18) and the match 3-0.
