Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6Treyarch has introduced an all-new revolutionary movement system called Omnimovement. Players now have more movement flexibility than ever before.

Whether sprinting backwards or sliding sideways, Omnimovement allows players to move in any direction, creating many more opportunities to stay agile during intense battles compared to previous games.

Even though mastering this style of movement may seem complicated, you can still benefit from it Black Ops 6 without using each of these new features. But if you really want to master the game and improve your gameplay, here are five tips to help you get started.

Master the art of sprinting

Sprinting from left to right to hinder enemies is a great strategy in Black ops 6.

Sprinting is obviously the most important aspect of Omnimovement, as it’s what players will be doing most of the time. The new system in Black Ops 6 allows you to sprint in any direction, even backwards, without slowing down. This gives you the freedom to dodge attacks and see the map better.

Although sprinting delays firing your weapon a bit, there are attachments you can use to reduce this delay. So it’s wise to keep sprinting whenever you’re in direct gunfights.

Tactical Sprint, another useful tool in Black Ops 6 which was first introduced in 2019 Modern warfare restart, allows you to sprint even faster than normal sprinting for a short period of time. This works great if you need to cover ground quickly or make a quick getaway.

However, this is not ideal in close combat as it increases the delay before you can fire your weapon again, and it can easily kill you since those few milliseconds can make a big difference. Using the Double Time perk will extend your tactical sprint, giving you a little more flexibility when crossing open areas in War zone or zombies.

Perks like Double Time, Dexterity, and Gung-Ho can make movement even smoother by extending Tactical Sprint time, stabilizing your aim, and allowing recharges while on the move.

Diving with dolphins in various directions is important

Being in an inverted position gives you a nice visibility advantage over your opponents.

Dolphin Diving got a solid upgrade in Black Ops 6. Now you can dive forward, backward, or sideways while aiming and shooting, something that didn’t exist in previous titles.

This maneuver is incredibly useful if you’re trying to surprise an enemy or quickly enter a room. For example, diving from a high ledge and landing behind cover is a smart way to gain an advantage, especially when enemies get close. Diving sideways is also great when cornering, instead of peeking out and exposing yourself more.

Keep in mind that when you dive, you will end up in a prone position. You will then have to get up, which can slow you down. Still, it’s a great move to make a fun entrance into a firefight or to move away from danger. Plus, you can still use Omnimovement while lying down, so diving isn’t as negative as before.

Dive is especially effective in Zombies mode, where dodging and avoiding enemy swarms can be the difference between surviving and losing the game.

Diving isn’t just about escaping gunfire. It’s perfect for escaping explosions, grenades, and other area attacks by quickly exiting the blast radius. Combined with certain loadouts that reduce the speed of your ADSit’s a winning strategy.

Swipe to outwit enemies in close combat

Dragging and pulling is another strategy that works quite well.

Sliding is a game changer Black Ops 6, especially with the new freedom of movement. Whether you’re sliding forward, sideways, or diagonally, sliding can disrupt your opponent’s aim and give you a slight speed boost.

Undoing slides has been a popular initiative in the community lately. Call of Duty games, but now even normal swiping is much more efficient and useful than before.

Props can help reduce the time it takes to shoot after a slip, which can be very beneficial in close encounters. You can create certain loads where the ADS time after sliding becomes considerably lower.

A common strategy for sliding is to hold the crouch button after sliding to smoothly transition to a prone position, which adds even more unpredictability to your movements and can push back your opponents and give you a small advantage in a shootout.

With the Gung-Ho perk, you can reload while sprinting, sliding, or even diving, allowing you to stay mobile without needing to stop to reload.

Use the coat to your advantage

While the Mantle isn’t exactly part of the Omnimovement system, it can still be very important for moving around maps quickly. In Black Ops 6, you can jump onto lower surfaces with the press of a button, and in the settings you can adjust it to automatically cover objects when sprinting.

This setting allows you to stay focused on your movements without needing to press additional buttons or perform additional movements, especially during intense combat. Streamlining this process allows you to better focus on the shootout.

Auto-mantling can also be configured for aerial objects in the settings, making it easier to climb over obstacles without the need for perfect alignment. During intense gunfights, these settings can give you the advantage by helping you stay moving without getting stuck in every wall or barrier you encounter while running.

For players of War zoneThe auto-fall feature is particularly useful for bypassing buildings or quickly finding shelter due to the higher intensity of the game mode.

Configure omnimotion controls to suit your style

The motion settings have a nice suite of customization options.

For a more personalized experience with Omnimovement, Black Ops 6 offers numerous control settings to make movements as comfortable and customizable as possible.

Sprint Assist, for example, lets you automatically start a sprint after a short movement delay. By enabling this, you don’t need to hold the sprint button all the time, which can reduce hand fatigue during long sessions and allow you to focus on other things.

Another great framework to explore is Slide/Dive behavior. By default, drag and dive are mapped to the same button, but this can be adjusted to suit your preferences.

For example, with the “Hybrid” option, a quick press of the button will trigger a slide, while holding it down will cause you to dive. This setup can prevent accidental dives and make movement transitions smoother. If you like faster, more responsive controls, changing these settings can make Omnimovement much smoother and more responsive for the player.

By learning these tips and tricks and becoming familiar with the new settings, Omnimovement in Black Ops 6 can really give you a huge advantage over your opponents.
