US elections: Kamala Harris, Donald Trump’s latest effort amid tight fights in seven swing states

US elections: The US elections show Vice President Kamala Harris leading in four of seven swing states, while Republican candidate Donald Trump is leading in one, with two swing states tied. Candidates need 270 electoral college votes. According to opinion polls, the elections will be decided by the results of key states, namely Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia.

According to Forbes, the fight is rather tight in the Swing States. Although Kamala Harris is leading in a few swing states according to several opinion polls, none show her – or even Trump in states where he has the advantage – leading by more than 2.5 points.

Additionally, both candidates are launching a new salvo against each other in a last-ditch effort to sway undecided voters ahead of the November 5 election. More than 75 million Americans have already voted on Sunday.

Political analysts say either candidate battling at least four of the seven battleground states can rise to power in the White House in January.

WHAT DONALD Trump SAYS

Trump called Harris corrupt and said he should not have “left” the White House in 2020. “We had the most secure border in the history of our country the day I left. I shouldn’t have left. I mean, honestly, because…we did so well,” the former president said at a rally in Lititz, Pa. Trump has refused to concede the 2020 election and has filed a series of legal proceedings, unsuccessfully, to contest the result.

“Everything is corrupt. She’s corrupt. She’s a corrupt person. I’m running against a totally corrupt person,” Trump said, adding: “I’m really not running against her. I’m running against a corrupt machine called the Democratic Party.

Trump fought for mandatory voter ID. “I don’t know why we can’t have voter ID. Real Democrats want to have things like voter ID. They know it’s crooked. There’s only one reason to which you don’t want a voter card. There is only one reason, and that is to cheat. and they cheat,” Trump told his supporters in Pennsylvania.

“I’m the only one talking about it because everyone is afraid to talk about it. Then they accuse you of being a conspiracy theorist… and they want to lock you up… They want to put you in jail. The ones who should be incarcerated are the ones who cheat in the horrible elections we are experiencing in our country,” Trump said.

WHAT KAMALA HARRIS SAYS

Harris, at an event in Detroit, said Trump would be harmful to the country and now was an opportunity to reject chaos, fear and hatred.

“In two days, we have the power to decide the fate of our nation for generations to come. I see a nation determined to turn the page on hatred and division and chart a new path forward. As I journey, I see Americans from so many places – so-called red states and so-called blue states who are willing to bend the arc of history toward justice,” Harris added.

“This is what nourishes my spirit as I travel across our great nation, from state to state and church to church. I see faith in action in remarkable ways. I see a nation of purpose to turn the page on hatred and division and chart a new path forward,” Harris said.

“I see an incredible number of our young people, our young leaders. Oh! It would inspire you to see how they are organizing for change. What I like about this generation is that they are quite eager to “A most wonderful way as I travel our nation, I see neighbors helping neighbors who were once complete strangers, but now neighbors are recovering and rebuilding after disasters,” she said.

Harris added: “What kind of country do we want for our children and our grandchildren? A country of chaos, fear and hatred, or a country of freedom, justice and compassion? The great thing about living in a democracy, as long as we can keep it, is that we have the power to answer that question,” she said.
