how employees engage with net zero benefits

As awareness of environmental responsibility increases, the financial barriers to reducing carbon footprints remain high for many. Recent research carried out by The electric car project reveals that 53 per cent of UK consumers say they cannot afford to reduce their carbon footprint and 62 per cent say price is the biggest barrier to switching to an electric car. The electric car project aims to overcome these financial barriers by making Net Zero the obvious choice.

Through salary sacrifices, the Electric Car Scheme allows employees to save 30 to 60 percent on the cost of an electric car. These savings make electric vehicles (EVs) a feasible option for thousands of drivers, allowing them to achieve significant savings while actively contributing to a more sustainable future. The results speak for themselves: employees who participate in the program not only save money but also report greater job satisfaction, with some companies seeing up to a 50 percent reduction in quit rates among employees. employees benefiting from the program.

The electric car program now promotes greater accessibility by integrating used electric vehicles, which already constitute half of the new activities. This expansion allows more employees to find an affordable electric vehicle, without breaking the bank.

Join Tom Eilon, from The Electric Car Scheme, at 1.15pm on the Employee Engagement Stage for the first day of CIPD ACE (November 6) to find out more about how your employees engage with Net Zero benefits, today and in the future.

Additionally, we will announce the launch of an entirely new category of Net Zero benefits. Be sure to attend the conference to be the first to know about this exciting new update!
