RCMP say they are investigating the sudden deaths of two people in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.

Halifax Regional RCMP responded to a residence on Poplar Drive around 9 a.m. Monday.

Police say the deaths involve two people who knew each other.

“We can confirm that there is no risk to public safety. Officers are on site to investigate. The public can expect a strong police presence,” we can read on the Nova Scotia RCMP’s X account.

Police say their investigation is in its “early stages”.
