Saskatoon police search for suspects after weekend bear spray attack

Saskatoon police are investigating a weekend bear spray attack in the Dundonald neighborhood.

On Sunday, around 4 p.m., police were called to the 200 block of Nesbitt Crescent for reports of an incident involving bear spray.

Police arrived to find a man and woman victims of a bear spray attack. The two men were treated by paramedics and firefighters who arrived on scene shortly after.

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived, but officers learned that two vehicles followed the victims to Nesbitt Crescent before exiting their vehicle and discharging the bear spray before fleeing towards the north. Police searched the scene and did not find either vehicle.

The victims and suspects would likely know each other.
