NewsNation Host Chris Cuomo refused to reduce Megyn Kelly speech at a Trump rally in Pittsburgh on Monday, ignoring a producer who told him, “They’d like us to come back to her.”

While Cuomo played part of Kelly’s speech, he quickly switched to a report on P’Nut the squirrel, before answering live calls from viewers.

“Alright, Megyn Kelly makes the closing argument for the man she once despised. For what? Opportunity and advantage,” Cuomo said before playing two minutes of Kelly’s speech.

The NewsNation host then cut into Kelly’s audio and remarked:

I mean, look, it works for his podcast. You know, glorifying minorities, tackling fringe issues, picking on Laken Riley is obviously going to hit an emotional note. If you’re concerned about homicides in America, is that where your concerns really lie? No, it’s just opportunism. Will this be enough for Trump?

The question is whether enough people on the center-left will hear someone like Megyn Kelly and say, “Yeah, I have to vote for him.” It doesn’t matter how I feel about him”? Or are there more center-right people who are going to listen to Megyn Kelly and say, “Ugh, I’m so disgusted that she’s on my side.” I can’t vote for this guy. Look at his face. He said the worst things about Megyn Kelly until she did the only thing you have to do to agree with Trump: compliment him.

After cutting to P’Nut the Squirrel and answering a call from a viewer, Cuomo’s producer could be heard saying, “Megyn Kelly.”
