Kyoto’s Ninnaji Temple shrouded in ethereal mist and autumn leaves

KYOTO—The World Heritage-listed Ninnaji Temple offers a stunning illumination event this fall, with its national treasure, the Golden Hall, appearing to float through a serene sea of luminous clouds.

This enchanting artificial cloudscape is created with fine mist and soft lighting, and further enhanced by the spectacular fall foliage all around.

The evening light event runs on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and public holidays until December 8, excluding November 15, November 30 and December 1.

Entrance is available from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with tickets priced at 2,800 yen ($18) for adults and free entry for high school students and younger.
