Victoria Beckham revealed her Hermès handbag collection was off-limits to her daughter Harper Beckhameven though the 13-year-old has been watching them for years.

The former Spice Girl has been expanding her Hermès collection since 2004, when she purchased her first Birkin in a classic beige shade. Her designer wardrobe now offers several iterations of the popular tote bag, including hot pink and lime green Birkin’s, as well as black, red and orange calfskin versions.

Victoria is proud to own a limited edition model in purple ostrich and burgundy crocodile and has also expanded her collection to include a handful of Hermès Kelly bags in black and purple.

According to The guardianPosh Spice owns around 100 iterations of the Hermès bag, with the collection estimated to be worth over £1 million. Despite her vast assortment, Victoria refuses to share her beloved bags with her 13-year-old daughter.

In a recent interview with VogueThe fashion mogul has spoken openly about sharing her wardrobe with her children. She said: “I’m not too precious about (my wardrobe), unless it’s Hermès. When Harper looks at these handbags (I say), ‘Not right away.’ I love my clothes, I take care of my clothes and they are there to be enjoyed.”

However, the designer views Harper’s interest in her wardrobe as a compliment, as she revealed that the younger generation often approve of her outfits. “If one of the kids wants to borrow my clothes, whether it’s Harper or one of the boys’ friends, it’s flattery because they’re definitely younger than me,” she added.

And it seems Harper has a growing appetite for fashion, as she hopes to follow in her mother’s footsteps.

At the launch of VB’s newest fragrance, My Reverie in New York, Harper confessed his hope for the future is: “Create an amazing brand when I’m older.” »

Despite launching its eponymous brand in 2008, the current fashion and beauty empire only recently began turning a profit.

Speaking in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar On Monday, Victoria said: “The business has been through so much over the last 17 years – ups, downs, restructuring… it’s been quite a journey. So finally to be able to say we’re profitable is something that I’m very proud of, because it’s not an easy industry and it’s getting harder and harder. To be able to say that I’m selling clothes right now, when you see how much luxury there is. is in trouble.”

The mother-daughter duo often steps out in coordinating outfits at glamorous events. From exuberant chic in denim ensembles to matching silk and VB lace dresses, Victoria has clearly passed on her high fashion flair to her daughter.
