Donald Trump arrived to vote in Palm Beach, near his home, alongside his wife, Melania.

Wearing a bright red MAGA hat, the former president stops to speak to the media and says, “I was very honored to find out that the lines are long, the conservative lines, the Republican lines are very long.”

He goes on to say that they returned to Florida “very late last night” after “four incredible rallies”, and adds: “I heard we did very well.”

Asked by a reporter how he plans to reach voters opposed to him, Mr. Trump responded that they “want to get everyone involved” and “will be very inclusive.”

“We have a great country, but we have a country in trouble. It’s in great trouble in many ways, and we have to turn things around,” he says.

Mr. Trump says he is “very confident” about his chances in this election, saying he entered Election Day today “with a very big lead.”

“It looks like the Republicans showed up strong, so we’ll see how that goes,” he said, adding that of the three presidential campaigns, this was the best they’ve run.

The former president also criticizes the fact that we may not know the result of the vote this evening, saying that it should be “finished at 10 p.m.”.

Citing Pennsylvania in particular, he said it was “absolutely scandalous” that it took two or three days for the result to be known.

He says he will monitor the results from his Mar-a-Lago home and says he has a “substantial lead.”

Asked if he is telling his supporters that there should be no violence over the election result, he replied: “I don’t need to tell them that. Of course there won’t be no violence. My supporters are not violent people.”

He also says he “would think” this is his last presidential campaign.
