Toronto breaks 65-year-old temperature record – CP24

The temperature in Toronto today is so unseasonably warm that it broke a 65-year-old record.

The temperature reached 22.5°C at Pearson International Airport at 10 a.m., surpassing the previous record on November 5 of 20°C in 1959.

Based on Environment Canada forecast for the city, the temperature could rise to 23°C later today, although it will be more like 26°C with the humidity.

In the evening, the temperature is expected to drop to 18°C ​​with a 60 percent chance of showers overnight.

The weather agency predicts rain could continue early Wednesday morning, although mild temperatures could persist with a high of 21C forecast.

Temperatures will cool down later in the week, with Environment Canada forecasting a temperature of 9°C on Thursday, then 11°C on Friday.

The average maximum temperature for November 5 is generally 9.5°C.
