Sudbury news: Four people charged in cocaine case in Atikameksheng First Nation

Four people – including two from southern Ontario – were charged with drug trafficking after a Nov. 1 search of a residence on the Atikameksheng First Nation.

Multiple Ontario Provincial Police units executed a search warrant on Lakeshore Drive and seized a rifle, cell phones, cash and drugs with an alleged value of $11,000 in cocaine.

Four people – including two from southern Ontario – were charged with drug trafficking after a Nov. 1 search of a residence on the Atikameksheng First Nation.

Four people – including two from southern Ontario – were charged with drug trafficking after a Nov. 1 search of a residence on the Atikameksheng First Nation.

Two people from the Atikameksheng First Nation, aged 28 and 50, as well as a 22-year-old man from Newmarket and a 21-year-old man from Kitchener have been charged with drug trafficking offences. The 28-year-old man was also charged with weapons offenses.

All accused have been released and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on December 18 in Sudbury.
