TAMPA, Florida. – Amendment 2 enshrines the right to hunt and fish in the Florida Constitution.

Floridians passed the amendment which seeks to “forever preserve fishing and hunting, including through the use of traditional methods, as a public right and the preferred means of responsible management and control of fish and wildlife “.

Current FWC rules will not be affected.

Amendments 1, 2, 5 and 6 were put to a vote by the Florida Legislature. Amendments 3 and 4 are citizen initiatives.
