A two-week event to celebrate Marietta restaurants kicked off Monday at the Marietta Main Street Fall Fest.

Main Street Executive Director Jen Tinkler said the event has been going on for three years and its goal is “to stimulate business to restaurants (in the city). »

A total of 16 restaurants in downtown Marietta and Harmar Village are participating, according to Tinkler, and the fall party runs through Nov. 18.

Participating restaurants are: Spanglish, McKenna’s Market, Spagna’s, Boathouse BBQ, Sugga Mommas Bakery & BBQ, Busy Bee, Jeremiah’s Coffee House, Wilky’s Sports Bar, Town House, J’s Dog House, Levee House Bistro, The Original Pizza Place, Over the Moon Pub & Pizza, Harmar Tavern, Riverfront Bar & Grill, Austyn’s, according to a Marietta Main Street Facebook post about the event.

Diners must pick up a bingo card at a participating restaurant, then eat at four restaurants in a row plus one restaurant of their choice from the card to bingo, according to Tinkler.

Then they can turn in their bingo card at one of the restaurants, she said, and they can fill out as many as they want over the two weeks. She said a completed bingo card is equivalent to an entry into a drawing.

The prize, according to Tinkler, is a basket containing more than $250 in gift certificates and merchandise from participating restaurants.

Tinkler will collect completed bingo cards from restaurants that participated in Fall Feast, then draw the winner from the basket during a Facebook Live event on Nov. 20 or 21, she said.

In the past, 75 to 100 people have attended the Fall Feast and while she has yet to make contact with restaurants or attendees, in recent years businesses have given positive feedback about the event and said that They loved seeing new faces and seeing a lot of people arrive.

She said people who participate in the event by dining at restaurants like Fall Feast because “They can try new things…they like the variety of (bingo) cards. »
