Former President Donald Trump won enough electoral votes to take back the White House, FOX News projects. However, the Associated Press and other media outlets say the race between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is still too close to decide.

Just before 2 a.m. ET, FOX News called the elections in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin for Trump, putting him above the 270 Electoral College vote threshold to win.

The crowd at Trump’s watch party at Mar-a-Lago erupted in joy when the network announced its conclusion, even though Trump himself had not yet taken the stage.

Several critical states are still processing ballots early Wednesday – particularly mail-in votes, which could have a significant impact on the outcome. Here is an update on the situation in these states:

• Pennsylvania (19 electoral votes): The state held 94% of all votes counted as of Wednesday morning, with Trump in the lead.
• Michigan (15 electoral votes): The state held 64% of all votes counted as of Wednesday morning, with Trump in the lead.
• Arizona (11 electoral votes): The state held 51% of all votes counted as of Wednesday morning, with Trump in the lead.
• Wisconsin (10 electoral votes): The state held 88% of all votes counted as of Wednesday morning, with Trump in the lead.

Democrats insist on “counting every vote”

Harris had no immediate comment. Her campaign co-chair previously announced she would not appear at her watch party at Howard University, noting that “we still have votes to count.”
