Two men have been arrested after a tip-off led to police discovering the remains of a cannabis grow burning in a garden.

Nottinghamshire Police said responding officers immediately noticed a strong smell of cannabis when they opened the front door of a house in Noel Street, Kimberley, Nottinghamshire, on Monday morning.

Cultivated cannabis plants and growing equipment were found inside the property, law enforcement said, suspecting the electricity supply had been illegally bypassed.

Two men aged 25 and 31 were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis.
