Roeser defeats Zito after controversial campaign

A Republican will retain the District 67 seat in the Kansas House of Representatives.

Angel Roeser defeated Democratic opponent Kim Zito on Tuesday with nearly 53% of the vote and will replace incumbent Republican Rep. Mike Dodson in January.

“I just want to thank the voters for showing up and trusting me,” she said. “I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and work hard in Topeka.”
