The NELK Boys with Donald Trump on Air Force One.

From the humble basements of Mississauga to the presidential podium… there are no limits to the heights of the NELK Boys.

Prank YouTube influencers received shout-outs during newly elected Donald Trump’s acceptance speech last night (November 5), but even though the words didn’t come from the president, they came from a friend of his, Dana White.

The moment came around 11 p.m. when Trump and his entourage took the stage to declare victory. Trump asked White to come forward to say a few words.

“I want to thank some people real quick,” said White, who then thanked the NELK Boys and others for their support of Trump.

White, president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and a devoted friend of Trump, has praised the NELK Boys in the past for their support of Trump, even appearing on their podcast. During his first go-around as president, Trump even invited them to board Air Force One for a ride aboard the presidential jet.

For the uninitiated, the NELK Boys started in Mississauga in 2010 with Kyle Forgeard, now 30, and his friends filming prank videos for YouTube and putting them together in his basement.

As the group became more popular, they moved to the United States and changed personnel, but the connection to Mississauga remains with members Drew Hill, Jason Pagaduan and Lucas Gasparini.

Their reputation, or at least their notoriety, quickly began to grow and their big break came when they were invited to the A P-Diddy party where they rubbed shoulders with Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber and Khloe Kardashian.

Soon other videos, podcasts, and celebrity connections started popping up, and then a clothing brand. Now, members can estimate the value of their empire at $25 million. Forgeard himself was named one of Forbes’ “30 Under 30,” not bad for a kid who attended Mount Carmel High School in Meadowvale.
