Prince William, who successfully concluded his four-day trip to South Africa after announcing the winners of the Earthshot Prize 2024 at a star-studded ceremony in Cape Town, gave a subtle nod to David Beckham with his decision surprising.

The Prince of Wales, who launched the Homewards initiative alongside his charity, has expanded his team for his initiative.

He appointed Beckham’s former PR manager Victoria Shires as his new communications manager.

Talk with Online mailVictoria revealed she had a “great first few weeks” after joining the Future King’s team in October.

Victoria, 34, worked for three years as a PR manager for David’s DB Ventures – a portfolio of brands and businesses important to the star.

Victoria added that it was “lovely” to have marked her first project with the launch of William’s ITV documentary, We Can End Homelessness. The two-part special premiered on Halloween.

Prince William has become close with the Beckhams, so he’s likely heard rave reviews about newcomer Victoria.

David’s son Brooklyn Beckham shared his family’s ties to royalty over the years in a new interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Andy asked Brooklyn: “Which members of the royal family have you seen most often, especially since your family is friends with Harry and Meghan?”

Responding to the question, Nicola Peltz’s husband explained that he “probably” spent time with the Prince of Wales “most often” when he was younger, adding: “He’s the nicest guy of all time.

“He’s really down to earth. He’s a really good guy.”

Prince William announced the winners of the 2024 Earthshot Prize at a star-studded ceremony in Cape Tow on Wednesday evening before visiting his wife, Princess Kate, and their three children. Palace shared highlights from the event.

Former England captain David and his fashion mogul wife Victoria have had numerous run-ins with the royal family, attending two historic weddings in the past 13 years. In 2011, they stepped out at the fairytale nuptials of the Prince and Princess of Wales at Westminster Abbey.

In 2018, David and Victoria made a second royal outing for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle which took place at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The legendary footballer has supported several of William’s charitable initiatives over the years.
