PWHL unveils jerseys for new franchises ahead of second season

The Professional Women’s Hockey League unveiled the jerseys for each of its six franchises on Thursday.

After choosing to begin its inaugural season without branding last January, the PWHL revealed the names and logos of the six teams in September.

The six franchises are the Toronto Scepters, Montreal Victory, Ottawa Charge, Minnesota Frost, Boston Fleet and New York Sirens.

The league’s second season will begin on November 30 and feature an expanded schedule of 30 games per team. The season will begin with the Boston Fleet traveling against the Toronto Scepters, followed by the Ottawa Charge traveling to play the Montreal Victory. The New York Sirens will travel to the Minnesota Frost to open their respective programs the following day.

The regular season runs until May 3, with three international breaks extended to accommodate players’ national team commitments. There are week-long holidays in December and March, and a 22-day break in April, coinciding with the world championships taking place in the Czech Republic.
