How does this work?

A new grocery store is coming to a bustling Mississauga neighborhood.

It will be located near Confederation Parkway and Arbutus Way, just north of Burnhamthorpe Road West.

This area has seen many condo developments in recent years, including M City condos, located just south of Burnhamthorpe.

Food Basics will open at the location, a spokesperson for Metro, which owns Food Basics, confirmed to INsauga.com.

Work has started and is expected to open in spring 2025.

The new site is expected to create approximately 85 jobs.

There is nearly 150 Food Basics stores throughout Ontario and this new spot will be the seventh in Mississauga.
