Victoria Seaman concedes to Shelley Berkley in Las Vegas mayoral race

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Victoria Seaman conceded the Las Vegas mayoral race to Shelley Berkley Thursday morning.

Currently, former Assemblywoman Shelley Berkley leads City Councilor Victoria Seaman by 15,037 votes, although the Associated Press has not yet called the race.

Seaman’s statement continued: “Although the outcome of the mayoral race was not what we had hoped for, I wholeheartedly congratulate Shelley Berkley on her election as the next mayor of Las Vegas. »

“Campaigning in our great city was an experience I will cherish forever,” Seaman said.

With Berkley’s victory, she is the first person outside Goodman to hold the position in 25 years.
