Troy Cassar-Daley to headline Yabun 2025 festival in Sydney

The Yabun Festival has announced its return, sharing the lineup for its 2025 iteration. As is tradition, the festival of indigenous music, arts and culture will take place on January 26 – known as Invasion Day or Survival Day – following the annual gathering in the Sydney CBD. It will be held at Victoria Park on Broadway, on the unceded lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. The full program can be found below.

The headliner of the event will be Troy Cassar Daleyfresh off his 14th studio album Between the fires. The album debuted at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart in the week of its release – only being retained by Taylor SwiftIt is The Department of Tortured Poets. Elsewhere on the bill are Barkaa – herself freshly out of his second EP Great Tidda – and old Eurovision competitors Electric fields as marquee acts.

The Yabun Festival resumed in January with a program including Fred Leone, Tasman Keith, Emily Wurramara, Velvet journey And Chasing ghosts. He was nominated for a FBI Sydney Music, arts and culture (SMAC) Price in the Best Musical Program category during the 2024 ceremony held this week.
