Ottawa weather: Temperatures to stay in single digits this weekend

The calendar says fall and it will be fall in Ottawa this weekend, after a week of warm double-digit temperatures.

The temperature warmed up to 11°C on Thursday, after reaching 20.6°C on Wednesday.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for daytime maximum temperatures of 6°C on Saturday and 7°C on Sunday, with minimum temperatures of -1°C tonight and -4°C Saturday evening.

It will be mostly cloudy today with a 30 percent chance of showers this morning and early afternoon and a 70 percent chance of showers late this afternoon. High 11 C.

Partly cloudy this evening with 70 percent chance of showers. Environment Canada says the situation will clear up overnight. Low -1°C.

Sunday will be cloudy. High 7 C.

The outlook for Memorial Day Monday is cloudy with a 60 percent chance of showers. High 13 C.

Tuesday will be sunny. High 4 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are 6°C maximum and -1°C minimum.
