  4. tap your network
  5. select Share
  6. verify your identity

2. Enable developer options for advanced features

The Developer Options menu is simply not for developers. It also gives you access to additional controls, like setting up USB debugging and customizing Bluetooth connections.

Here’s how to activate it:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap About phone
  3. Then tap the build number seven times.
  4. Once unlocked, look for Developer Options in Settings

With Extend Unlock (formerly Smart Lock), your device will stay unlocked in trusted locations, like your home. All you have to do is:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Security
  3. More security and privacy
  4. Extend Unlock
  5. Add your home or another reliable location.

From now on, your smartphone will remain unlocked as long as you are in this designated area.

5. Keep emergency medical information for security reasons

Android will allow you to save vital medical information such as blood type and allergies, which you can access in an emergency. All you have to do is:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Safety and emergency
  3. Medical information

Here you can add essential details, which responders can access even when your phone is locked during an emergency call.
