Three people have been arrested for allegedly getting into a fight at the Amsterdam Walmart.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fight at the store on State Route 30 on Wednesday, November 6 around 6 p.m. Just before police arrived, store employees separated some of the participants. Some of them were inside the store and some were outside.

Police began questioning people to determine what happened, when a second fight broke out inside the store.

Amsterdam police helped separate all parties and secure the scene.

Joseph Vazquez, 26, was charged with aggravated domestic offenses, criminal contempt and disturbing the peace. Arisel Vazquez, 56, and Nicole Vazquez, 23, were each charged with attempted assault. They were released on appearance notices and pending appearance in Amsterdam Municipal Court at a later date.

The incident remains under investigation and further arrests are possible.
