Drag Race UK S6 Rusical dubbed one of the best in the series

The sixth season of Drag racing in the UK continues to deliver the goods, this time with a Top-of-the-pops– Rusical themed which has been dubbed one of the best of all time.

Last week, Scotland dramatic diva Chanel O’Conor fled after the snatch match of the season, which fans also I thought it was one of the best in the series..

Considering Chanel was known for bringing a bit of conflict and, therefore, sublime reality TV, fans were worried that season six’s stellar series would come to an abrupt end. But after Thursday night’s episode (November 7), it appears those concerns were unfounded.

In Pop des Tops – Live: Le Rusicalthe remaining queens were assigned a British (or Australian) singing legend to portray on stage, along with last week’s winners The Voice And Kyran Thrax choosing who their fellow queens should represent.

The Voice opted for Shirley Bassey, while Kyran chose to become George Michael.

Marmalade was Elton John, Rileasa Slaves was Adele, Actavia was Geri Halliwell, Lill went for Cilla Black and Charra Tea chose the “honorary Brit”, Kylie Minogue.

Oh, and one more thing: the queens had to sing live.

Despite this curveball, the seven drag divas delivered on their promises, with fans on social media calling the result one of the best Rusicals of the series. High praise, indeed.

On the main stage, RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Graham Norton were joined by West End’s Beverley Knight, with contestants striding down the runway in looks inspired by one of the UK’s (almost) best-loved queens: Diana, Princess of Wales.

Even the show was called one of the best of the season, with the queens bringing out two revenge dresses, a reveal, a wig that was more Iron Lady than Lady Di, and La Voix made history by as the first queen to have a bucket of water thrown at her. on it as part of the look.

Ru was left suitably gagged by the performance, telling the queens: “You are one of the most charming actors we’ve ever had, and each of you proved that tonight, which makes our job even harder .”

It was ultimately La Voix who was named winner of the week, her third consecutive success in a major challenge. Rileasa, Kyran and Marmalade were nicknamed high. But Charra Tea was deemed weak thanks to her decision to turn Diana into Mrs. T, while Actavia and Lill were the bottom two.

In full Princess Diana attire, the couple lip-synched The Rocky Horror Picture Show“Time Warp” from “Time Warp”, in one of the most unusual (but brilliant) scenes seen on the BBC, and it was Actavia who was ultimately ordered to “move away”, but not before before RuPaul expressed his love for her.

“Actavia, I don’t know what it is about you, but I just love you. I love you so much,” Ru gushed, leaving her speechless. “Whatever you do, go for it. It’s very endearing. You are the bees’ knees.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is streaming on BBC iPlayer and WOW Presents Plus now.
