Nova Scotia RCMP seeking man on provincial arrest warrant

THE RCMP in Cumberland CountyNova Scotia, is searching for a man currently wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.

Christopher Charles Mattinson, 33, of Oxford, Nova Scotia, faces the following charges:

  • Unsafe storage of a firearm
  • unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • possession of a firearm when known possession is not authorized
  • two counts of possession of a weapon with a dangerous purpose
  • possession of a restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition
  • two counts of possession of weapons contrary to an order and two counts of failure to surrender an authorization
  • dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • escape from the police
  • two counts of failing to comply with a probation order
  • two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

Mattinson is six feet seven inches tall and weighs 190 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes in an RCMP facility. press release.

Police have been attempting to locate Mattinson and are asking for the public’s help.
