Crash between minivan and school bus in Calgary

Calgary police are investigating a collision between a minivan and a school bus on Friday.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Edmonton Trail and 36 Avenue NE at 2:40 p.m.

Police say the collision caused the school bus to crash into a building.

No children were on the bus at the time.

Police said the bus driver was taken to hospital in serious condition.

The Calgary Fire Department said two adults and two children were in the minivan. All were examined at the scene by paramedics and transported to hospital in non-life-threatening condition.

A total of 14 people were in the building into which the bus crashed during its evacuation. None of them were injured.
