Sean “Diddy” Combs and his legal team are offering a new $50 million bond while he awaits trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

According to the Associated PressDiddy, 54, filed a new request on Friday, November 8, claiming that due to changed circumstances and new evidence, he should be allowed to prepare for his May 2025 test from outside the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center, where he been behind bars since his arrest in September. The new filing constitutes his fourth request. He was bail denied several times.

In the filing, Diddy’s lawyers proposed a “much more robust” bail program, including 24-hour security monitoring, house arrest and restrictions on his ability to contact anyone, except for his legal team.

Decades before he was charged with sex trafficking and racketeering, Sean “Diddy” Combs predicted he would run into trouble with the law. “They’ll probably arrest me and do all sorts of crazy things just because we want to have a good time,” Diddy, now 54, told Entertainment Tonight in 1999. “Whenever you (… )

Diddy’s legal team also cited new evidence that “clearly shows the government’s case is thin” against the rapper. According to his lawyers, this evidence refutes the government’s claims that a Diddy’s 2016 video assault his then girlfriend Cassie occurred during a “Freak Off,” during which Diddy allegedly coerced female victims into participating in “elaborate and produced sex shows.”

Diddy was arrested and charged with sex trafficking and racketeering in September and has remained behind bars since. His legal troubles began in November 2023 when Cassie, 38, accused him of sexual assault and rape in an explosive lawsuit. He denied her claims and the matter was settled amicably one day after its submission.

Following the case, several individuals filed their own sexual assault lawsuits against the rapper, ultimately leading Homeland Security to search Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles as part of an investigation into sex trafficking.

Diddy’s 14-page indictment was unsealed a day after his Sept. 16 arrest in New York. Court documents accuse the disgraced music mogul of hosting parties known as “Freak Offs,” which he allegedly recorded. Diddy allegedly “distributed various controlled substances to victims” as a control tactic.

Diddy and his lawyers have vehemently denied the multiple accusations against him. The rapper pleaded not guilty to his accusations of sex trafficking and racketeering.
