Trapanis puts his passion into a new beverage company

The people you know from pouring candles at Door County Candle Company will be pouring something new starting next year. Nic and Christiana Trapani are in the final stages of approving their ready-to-drink Luba Libations zero proof cocktails. The idea came to Christiana after she wanted to unwind after work with a fun drink, but wanted something healthy and alcohol-free. With Nic’s encouragement, the couple began experimenting with different flavors until they found something they wanted to share with others. They opted for four varieties: a Cranberry Cosmo, a Lime Margarita, a Grapefruit Paloma, and a Moscow Mule that nods to kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, rather than Russia. . Luba is not only the name of Christiana’s grandmother, but also the Ukrainian word for love. It’s a love project for the Trapanis, who hope to fill a void in the soft drinks market.

Once the final permits are obtained, the Trapanis hope that production of Luba Libations will begin in spring 2025. Although the drinks will be produced outside the area for now, a launch party is planned in Door County.
