Cool weekend, wet start to the week

As we settle into the weekend, expect a dry and cool evening with lows falling into the mid 40s inland and the 50s along the coast. Offshore high pressure will keep skies mostly clear tonight before clouds gradually improve on Sunday, signaling an upcoming weather change.

Looking ahead to Monday, a cold front will move in from the northwest, drawing moisture from Tropical Storm Rafael currently in the Gulf of Mexico. This tropical influence will bring widespread showers and possibly a few thunderstorms Monday afternoon, especially to inland areas. Temperatures will remain mild, with highs in the 70s, before cooler, drier air moves in Tuesday. By midweek, expect a comfortable, clear period with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
